After I finished my post this morning, I made baked oats with strawberries and a banana. For anyone who has done or is thinking about following Slimming World, this is one of my favourite recipes. A mixture of one egg, 40g of oats and 90g of yogurt = actually something quite bland until you add some fruit with it. The original recipe includes sweetener and vanilla essence but I never felt that made a huge difference anyway. It’s a real hearty breakfast that always keeps me going until lunch. I actually managed to walk around shopping for over 2 hours and not feel hungry or be tempted by the various different food places!
Speaking of shopping, I managed to return the items mentioned in my previous post and I found more tops! New Look sale was a saviour. Two tops for £5, one is actually a maternity top.. nothing a cut out of the label can’t solve, it was £2 and perfect for work. I then saw another top which was part of the 915 selection (the 9-15 year olds I’m guessing) and I thought that although it was for age 14-15, it looked reasonably sized. I tried it on and it was lovely! I then found another 3 in the same section, all aged 14-15 and they’re just the right colours and fit. I returned the bra to H&M and then went into Primark. I bought 2 pairs of white plimsoles, a bra and 5 face masks (every time I go into Primark there are new Montagne Jeunesse face masks and I just get over excited and buy more than necessary). A very happy little ginger human! The next item on the agenda... LUNCH.
In case you didn’t notice, I love food. Every day I spend near on the whole day thinking of it, dreaming of it and eating it. I checked my meal plan and it was a ham salad.. usually I’d be thrilled by that but I have eaten so much salad this week it just wasn’t doing it for me. The suns out and I didn’t fancy standing in the kitchen for long so a quick Mugshot soup and carrot it was. Very random and probably ever so boring to those that aren’t dieting, but it was good enough for me. I sat outside in the garden, cat to the left of me, grass to the right, here I am stuck outside eating souuuuup 🎼. It was great. Do you know what wasn’t great though? My carrot crunching. I cannot bare food noises. My neighbour had their back doors open and I guarantee if they were in their garden, they would’ve heard it. I’m sorry. I’m also sorry for the accidental burp. The soup got the better of me..
I’ve finished my food plan for next week, I’ve hung out the washing and now I’m going to make a shopping list and go off to Tesco to spend some more money!
